About Spc. Dr. Lütfi Öztürk

Spc. Dr. Lütfi Öztürk graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1992 and completed his specialization in internal medicine at Şişli Etfal Hospital in 1997. At Prof Clinic, he serves as the medical lead for hair-restoration services. 

His role includes medical assessment and treatment planning for scalp hair, beard, eyebrow and moustache transplantation, as well as the evaluation of hair loss and hair-growth disorders. A medical review is important because not every pattern of hair loss is suitable for transplantation, and the donor area, medical history, medications and progression of hair loss can affect the treatment plan.

Approach to treatment planning

Dr. Öztürk’s assessment considers the pattern and stability of hair loss, donor-area quality, scalp condition, medical history, medication use and the patient’s expectations.

The clinical team then determines whether transplantation is suitable and which treatment method is most appropriate for the individual case. The extent of treatment and expected density are discussed individually and are not guaranteed in advance.
